Geneva Ocean Academy Website Redesign

UX/UI DESIGN

For this project, the objective was to redesign the website of the Geneva Ocean Academy with a focus on modernizing its digital identity and improving the overall user experience.

The original website contained valuable educational content about ocean preservation and marine awareness. However, its interface felt outdated and lacked visual hierarchy, making navigation and content exploration less engaging for users.

The goal of this redesign was therefore to create a cleaner, more immersive, and accessible digital experience while respecting the organization’s educational mission and environmental values.
Through this project, I explored how a modern interface and stronger visual storytelling can better highlight environmental initiatives and make educational content more attractive and intuitive to navigate.

Implementation of
the Project

The project started with an analysis of the existing website in order to identify usability, navigation, and visual design issues.
Based on this research, I developed a new visual direction focused on:a cleaner and more modern layout, improved typography hierarchy, immersive ocean-inspired visuals, and a more intuitive navigation experience.

Particular attention was given to balancing aesthetics with accessibility to ensure the platform remained educational, clear, and engaging for different audiences.

My work consisted of redesigning the interface and translating this new artistic direction into a functional and responsive web experience.

Project
Outcome

This redesign proposal allowed the Geneva Ocean Academy platform to adopt a more contemporary and immersive identity aligned with its mission.

The new interface improves content readability, enhances navigation clarity, and creates a stronger emotional connection with users through a modern ocean-inspired visual experience.
